چکیده
The construction year of road bridges plays an important role in bridge management systems. Based on the age and other factors, deterministic probabilistic deterioration models can be used to calculate rates predict future physical condition bridges. Two new techniques are proposed this manuscript for estimating by analyzing normalized difference water index 2 (NDWI_2). Technique 1 uses both target point (TBP) a selected optimal reference control point, while only TBP. Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper NDWI_2 data were analyzed at all 44 Nago City, Japan bridges’ overall length ≤ 100 m between 1990 2006. sequential t-test analysis regime shift method, significance level α = 0.05 cutoff l 27, was interpret estimated from techniques. Both successfully determined year, which statistically significant with p-values < 0.05, except seven one 2. correlation comparative actual years yielded R2 0.24 0.33, as well average deviation S 5.81 4.08 2, respectively. findings suggest that is more accurate provides better estimate than 1. It observed that, increased, absolute error increased. Therefore, measure accuracy, upper limit set l≤ 12. also increase bridge’s forested area contributed accuracy results. By using inputs into systems, managers make informed decisions about how best maintain improve ensure user safety preservation future.

A Modified Normalized Difference Impervious Surface Index (MNDISI) for Automatic Urban Mapping from Landsat Imagery
Impervious surface area (ISA) is a key factor for monitoring urban environment and land development. Automatic mapping of impervious surfaces has attracted growing attention in recent years. Spectral built-up indices are considered promising to map ISA distributions due to their easy, parameter-free implementations. This study explores the potentials of impervious surface indices for ISA mappin...

متن کاملUse of Normalized Difference Water Index for Monitoring Live Fuel Moisture
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) were compared for monitoring live fuel moisture in a shrubland ecosystem. Both indices were calculated from 500 m spatial resolution Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) reflectance data covering a 33 month period from 2000 to 2002. Both NDVI and NDWI were positively correlated with live ...
